Boat building and sailing skills

Over half term on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th we will be helping the centre to run two sessions from 9am to 4:30 each day where young people with enough experience sailing (able to sail a triangular course) can come and learn how to rig a boat from scratch and to help rig the new Fusions ‘out of the box’, setting the masts etc.
In the afternoon on both days we will run through racing rules, tactics and then practice on the water (wind permitting), using some of the new boats. There will be a nominal £5 cost for each day for this combined volunteering / skills activity and a packed lunch will be required. Times are 9am till 4.30 on either or both days.
