The centre provides coaching and learning for young people from all backgrounds and walks of life, from all over the borough and beyond for a huge range of water activities, including Canoeing, paddle-boarding, sailing, even dragon boating.
Many young people that would not find a sport that they enjoy and can develop throughout their adult life find not only fun and action on the lake but also life and social skills that stay with them for life. Many of those young people go on to help develop other young hearts and minds all over the UK as they grow up. The impact of the site geographically reaches far and wide. Most of the groups that use the lake could not begin to provide any form of replacement for the lost activities.
